Hi Speed Van vs Tree & 200 ft Over Embankment, Misses House

June 23, 2007. One very lucky individual in this accident. The driver blew the stop sign at 84th street east and Fruitland ave east in Puyallup at about 10:30pm. No cross trafffic was hit, and no skid marks left. The van went across Fruitland, through a guardrail, shearing the approximatelty 24" diameter cedar tree( the diameter may even be larger), depositing the tree and twisted guardrail on the porch or deck of the house(the van was within inches of hitting the house). The van landed in it's twisted mess about 300 feet away from the roadway and about 200 feet below the road. It took just over 30 minutes to extricate the driver who survived and was later arrested at the hospital for DUI. This van is so messed up, I cannot identify the make.
