David Haye is in his final preparations ahead of his WBA heavyweight showdown fight with giant Nikolai Valuev. The London-born star is hoping to knock-out the 7ft 2in boxer in Nuremberg on Saturday night. There has been plenty of pre-fight verbal jousting. Haye has branded Valuev "a bogeyman", "a hairy freak" and "a circus act", although the Russian seems unbothered by the media attention. Valuev, from St Petersburg, boasts a record of 50 wins and one defeat has never been floored. He has a huge weight advantage over the British boxer but Haye appears more nimble and quicker on his feet. Some bookmakers are putting Haye as favourite to win but he does face the tallest order of his career so far as other betting firms point out in their odds.
