Hair product's a load of bull

A London salon is offering a treatment strange enough to make your hair stand on end - it's made from bull semen.Hari's, the famous Knightsbridge salon, favours natural products, including the range made from the root of the katera plant which is mixed with semen from Aberdeen Angus bulls.According to the salon, the 45-minute intense conditioning treatment, a snip at £55, "penetrates each hair shaft, creating an unbelievable sheen".It is massaged into the client's hair after it has been shampooed and the lucky customer is put under a steamer so the heat helps the semen get to work.Owner Hari Salem said: "It really works. The semen is refrigerated before use and doesn't smell. It leaves your hair looking wonderfully soft and thick."Donald Tyson, of Brooklet Farm in Cheshire, said that the semen from their bulls has been used for other unusual purposes, including helping to train forensic scientists working on crime detection techniques.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
