
(NECN: Pine Plains, NY) - A government official says the suspect in an upstate New York school hostage situation has surrendered to police, and no injuries are reported. The former student surrendered at Stissing Mountain High School at about 10:00 this morning. He was holding a school administrator hostage. The gunman is a man in his 40s -- according to officials. The handcuffed man was led to an ambulance, where he was checked by paramedics. No shots were fired.
