Guinea-Bissau president murdered

Guinea-Bissau's armed forces command pledged to respect the country democratic institutions after confirming that soldiers loyal to the slain army chief had killed the President shortly after storming his home. Former colonial power Portugal and the African Union condemned the killings and are calling for the restoration of order.
