After staking out a suspicious fishing boat for close to three days, authorities in Guatemala seized it on Saturday (September 23), finding over 120 kilos of cocaine on board. During the raid, four unidentified men who operated the vessel and transported the drugs were also arrested. "Following proper procedure, one of our cutters approached the Orcas II boat in the middle of the night. When the crew saw our vessel, they proceeded to turn their lights off. Then, they started throwing the drugs overboard," said Pacific Naval Base Commander Oscar Romero. The Costa Rican vessel Orcas II was seized 112 kilometers from the Pacific coast of Guatemala and it was escorted to port by two navy cutters. On board the vessel, authorities also found bags filled with currency from several countries.
