GoW1 Week - Day 4 | LGD FiberOptix (A GoW1 07 pro) :: Final GoW Montage

First, before saying anything, remember that the footage in this montage was all recorded BEFORE the June 07 Patch (The last one to Gears1). This is why you see things like curb sliding and the original weapon slide. Now that that's out of the way, let me say that this is one of, if not my (Anthony) most, favorite montage ever for Gears. The gameplay is sick for ANY point in time, even now, despite the footage being borderline 2 years old at the time we posted this. This next line is incredibly important, and the one fact that makes this montage truly jaw dropping. Almost every kill in this montage was on a Professional or Semi-pro player from the 2007 GoW1 circuit. In many montages, in fact, about 95% of them, the opponents the player is facing are completely terrible. Or, at best average/decent players. In this montage, some of the BEST players to have ever touched the game are killed. Crank, genetix, Marth, Bullet, Devastator, Desecrate, CDN, Cloud, just to name a few in a long list. If you think you would do better against the same competition, you wouldn't. The editing was nothing special. hell, it looked like something out of windows movie maker. but the editing didn't NEED to be special for this montage. The gameplay and the competition explains itself. There originally was a much more professionally edited version of the same gameplay, but I not only prefer this version, I can't find the other one lol. There's no perspective of him playing, but you can still get a feel of how great of a player he was, even against the BEST competition in the game. And the opening shot is by far the sickest shot ever, let alone the fact it was an 11th bullet.
