This is our historical reenactment of the Japanese American "Nisei" Unit at the Italian Front in the spring of 1944. The filming was done on May 4th and 5th 2007, at the Military Vehicle Meeting at the Yogo skiing ground in Shiga prefecture. We see the "reenactment" as an opportunity to take part in an outdoor theatrical event, without script, so each of us will improvise our roles, coming up with our own lines, and actions .This time, we set the "re‐creation of the daily lives of the Nisei soldiers" as the main theme. We attempted to experience what those Japanese American soldiers went through and felt. At the same time we were keen to feel the "spirit of the period", so tried our best to recreate an authentic atmosphere. Fortunately we had access to various American military vehicles that gathered at the Military Vehicle Meeting. We used some of them as the props. These vehicles added significant value to our film. Our film includes various reenacted scenes such as: "laying down water lines", "re‐assembling rifle", "giving hair cuts", "close order marching", "rifle drill", etc. Our film includes various reenacted scenes such as: "laying down water lines", "playing baseball", "enjoying hot chow", etc.
