Giants Prevent Mets Sweep with 2-0 Win

Starting San Fransisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain royally showed up Mets starter Mike Pelfrey pitching 6 shutout innings and then singling in the game winning run in the 5th inning. The Giants prevented the Mets from completing a four game sweep on their home turf and snapped a four game losing streak. Pelfrey almost completely went to pieces giving up 3 balks, only the 2nd time in Mets history a pitcher has given up 3 balks and the first time since '94 that any MLB pitcher has done that.
