GERMANY: FOOTBALL / SOCCER - Arsene Wenger wants his team to focus on Wednesday's Champions League match against Hamburg

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry will miss Wednesday's (September 13) Champions League game at Hamburg SV after sustaining a minor foot injury in training on Tuesday (September 12). The France striker did not travel to Germany for the Group G opener against the Bundesliga side, Arsenal said on their Web site. Henry's absence will be a major blow to last season's finalists, who have already been struggling domestically to turn their possession into goals. "In life, you cannot spoil a season. For us, we already lost a little bit of time in this season which I think is very important for our club and for us," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told journalists at a press conference in Hamburg. "It's vital now to focus on the present target, that is to win the championship, to win the Champions League, and you can only achieve that if you focus completely on what is inside our club at the moment and let everybody else talk about the rest." Arsenal have yet to win and have only two points to show for their three Premier League matches to date. They have scored just two goals -- one of those a Henry penalty in Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Middlesbrough. Manager Arsene Wenger has included teenage forward Theo Walcott in his 18-man squad, though the main attacking duties are likely to fall on Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor. Germany's national team goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is available having served a two-match suspension in European competition and is well aware of the threat of Hamburg. "Hamburg is strong, they made the qualifier for the Champions League when they scored a goal out of nothing," said Lehmann. "They lost their defence with (Daniel) van Buyten. (Robin) Babaris was an important striker for them. They lost him, too. But they got a few new, young and promising players, too. They are always able to get a good result, so we have to be careful."
