Gair (1999): Laila Laila

A village mandir poojary finds an abandoned child on the steps and summons the villagers. They look upon sympathetically at the child, and he is adopted by C.K. Oberoi, a wealthy man. This child is brought up in the Oberoi household, which consists of Sharda Oberoi and their son, Raja, who is overseas. They decide to name the child Vijay Kumar, and treat him as their own. Years later, Vijay has grown up and has taken charge of the Oberoi business single-handedly. When Raja returns home, he is resentful of the way Vijay is favored by his dad. And fueled by a bitter maternal uncle, Jagat, Raja sets upon to create problems for this outsider, and make him lose face with his family.
