This week, Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir announced an immediate ceasefire in the Darfur region of western Sudan, where up to 300,000 people have died and more than two million have fled their homes during the past five years. The two main rebel groups have both rejected the move, saying it is just empty rhetoric and that President Bashir is not committed to peace. In an Al Jazeera exclusive, Sir David is joined by both sides of the conflict from the government side Sudanese Ambassador to the UK, Omer Mohamed Ahmed Siddig and from the JEM rebel group, Dr Tahir El-Faki.
