(NECN: St. Paul, Minn.) - Al Franken is celebrating his win over Republican incumbent Norm Coleman in the Minnesota Senate race. The state's Supreme Court ruled yesterday the former "Saturday Night Live" comedian should be certified the winner -- after a nearly eight-month recount and court fight. Franken says he owes his success to his wife, Frannie. After the ruling, Coleman conceded the race. Democrats will now hold 60 seats in the Senate. That's enough to overcome any Republican filibuster if they stay united. The Senate is out of session for the July 4th holiday.
