Air Tankers at the USFS Air Base at Fox Field (WJF) north of Lancaster, CA. This was a quick drive-by, then I came back for a better video. The "Pipers," as I called them, are smaller aircraft I think used as Lead planes. The following air tankers are overnighting at Fox Field as shown: 06, 07, 09, 10, 11, 12, 43, 44, 45, 48, 55 were at the USFS Pad; Super Scoopers 264 and 266 were by the Tower; 00 and 27 from Aero Union were also by the tower. I think these smaller aircraft were support/lead aircraft, and are among many that were parked at the USFS Pad: N23W, N14CP, N717PP. There were 2 more aircraft incoming on left base for Rwy 24, but it was too dark to determine whether they were tankers or lead aircraft...plus I was driving...I understand some of these Air Tankers were used in San Bernardino Fires today.
