



Former deputy of minister of Energy, suspected of attempted kidnapping, has been detained. Guns have been found in the house of David Gurgenidze. Gurgenidze has been working in the construction company Paladin Palace. The businessman has been detained during joint operation conducted by the officers of the Special Operative and Constitutional Security Departments of the ministry of Internal Affairs. Giorgi Chubinidze and Gurgenidze’s head bodyguard Ramaz Chintcharadze also have been detained. All the three detainees have been under drug effect. According to the law enforcement bodies, Gurgenidze had been extorting share of the company from one of the owners. Officers: - It is 75 D compact Natia Bandzeladze covers the story. Thanks to cooperation with him, the case has been closed. Several details have been revealed: the shareholder with his 15 years old children has been driving on Chavchavadze Street when Gurgenidze with his accessories tried to block way to his car. This happened at 5 pm. They managed to force out and beat the victim. However they failed to kidnap him as his two children and their friend (all of them teenagers – 15 years old) accompanying him cried. Therefore the victim managed to escape. After that he called the police. The case has been closed in three days. Interior ministry has commented on it today. Different types of guns have been found in Gurgenidze’s house. Among them is a special gun with silencer system. The criminals may face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
