Launched on 30 January 2007, the Commission's Green Paper 'Towards a Europe free from tobacco smoke' is a key feature of the Environment and Health Action Plan (2004--2010) in which the Commission explores legal mechanisms and health initiatives to promote the goal of a smoke-free Europe.
