Fireworks demo in nation's capital

(NECN: Washington, D.C.) - Today on the National Mall, the U.S. Consumer Product Commission held its annual fireworks safety demonstration ahead of the Fourth of July celebrations. Last year, nearly 10,000 Americans were treated for fireworks-related injuries. The CPSC says the best way to avoid injury is to leave the fireworks to the professionals. But, if using your own at home, Acting CPSC Chairman Nancy Nord says use only legal fireworks and use them correctly.
