Arthur Schlesinger Jr., a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and famous historian has died in new York at the age of 89. Pulitzer prize-winning historian and John F. Kennedy insider Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. Schlesinger's son says his father suffered a heart attack on Wednesday (March 1) while dining with family members in New York. He died at a hospital. Schlesinger was among the most famous historians of his time and won the pulitzer prize for "A Thousand Days," his memoir and chronicle of President Kennedy's administration. Schlesinger also won a pulitzer for "The Age of Jackson," a landmark chronicle of President Andrew Jackson's administration. He was 89-years-old.
