FILE: Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown gives birth to a baby girl in Santa Monica, California

Melanie Brown, also known as "Scary Spice" gave birth to a baby girl in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday morning (April 3). According to her publicist, Nadine Bibi, the mother and baby are doing well and resting. No name has been decided as of yet and the baby is simply known as "Baby Brown." The father of the baby remains a source of contention. Ms. Brown claims that Oscar-nominated actor Eddie Murphy is the father. Murphy, however, refuted the claim during an interview on Dutch television. Brown also has an 8-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband, back-up dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
