EU works to restore gas supplies

Russian state-controlled gas monopoly Gazprom said a deal to monitor gas exports through Ukraine would be signed by Friday. The European Commission said a gas monitoring team had started work in Kiev, but it would take time to restore shipments. Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
