EU Budget Reform

In 2007, the European Commission launched a public consultation on EU budget reform, concentrating on future challenges and EU spending. On 12/11/2008, Dalia Grybauskaite, Member of the EC in charge of Financial Programming and Budget, will present the results of this public consultation at the conference on "Reforming the budget, changing Europe" which will be hosted and opened by Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, Dalia Grybauskaité and Hans-Gert P¶ttering, President of the European Parliament - speakers and participants will include representatives from Member States, academics, business and political leaders as well as members of civil society. To illustrate this event, the European CommissionÂ’s Audiovisual Service has produced an infoclip which contains footage illustrating agricultural and regional policies, R&T and “vox pops”.
