Endeavour diverted, lands safely in CA

(NECN) - The Space Shuttle Endeavour completed its return trip on Sunday, landing in California late in the afternoon. The shuttle's crew, made up of seven astronauts, landed at around 4:25 after being diverted to California due to stormy weather at NASA's Florida spaceport. "Welcome back. That was a great way to finish a fantastic flight," Mission Control radioed. "And we're happy to be here in California," shuttle commander Christopher Ferguson replied. Endeavour's astronauts helped install the recycling machine and had to put in extra effort to get the urine processor working. read more
