Ellen DeGeneres Teams Up With Pink For The Cure

Breast cancer, aside from non-melanoma skin cancer, is the most common form of cancer in women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is the number one cause of cancer death in Hispanic women, and the second most in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander and American Indian/Alaska Native women. It impacts hundreds of thousands each year, and not just those who have been diagnosed with it. Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has teamed up with Pink for the Cure, a fundraising and education program to encourage companies, schools and organizations to make a difference by supporting breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Ellen's mother is a breast cancer survivor. She's also launching a new website www.pinktogether.com, to help bring those in the fight for breast cancer together, whether they are in need of support or have hope to offer.
