Born Sept. 20, 1929 in the Louisiana capital, in the course of his brilliant and rich career Bo has developed an original piano style that blends various influences , gleaned from Professor Longhair, Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, amassing copious recognition. Some of his tunes were performed by outstanding vocalists such as Little Richard, Huey Smith and Chubby Checker and in the '50s the version of "My Dearest Darling" recorded by Etta James actually made the top of the R&B charts.
