Following hearings with, respectively, the Civil Liberties and Transport committees (Monday), Parliament will vote on the change in portfolio of Commission Vice President Jacques Barrot and on the appointment of Antonio Tajani to the European Commission (Wednesday). On this occasion the audiovisual service of the European Commission provides archive pictures of both EC members. This memo-clip devoted to Jacques Barrot includes: - The visit at the French airport of Roissy-Charles de Gaulle to inform European air passengers on their rights (17/02/2005); - The visit at a new Alpine tunnel of La Praz between France and Italy (13/10/2005); - The weekly Commision meeting at Brussels headquarters (04/06/2008); - The visit in Belgrade on the handover of the roadmap for visa liberalisation + meeting with Serbian President Boris Tadic and with Serbian Vice-President Bozidar Djelic (07/05/2008); - The meeting with José Luis Lopes de Mota, President of Eurojust, in Brussels (12/06/2008). The aim of the question and answer session with MEPs is to test the candidates' knowledge of the area where they will work. Mr Barrot is no stranger to the procedure as he has been in the Commission since 2004. Mr Tajani has previously seen it from the other side: as an MEP.
