Earth Hour at UN sites around the world (Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General)

United Nations, 17 March 2009 - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announces that the UN will participate in Earth Hour on 28 March by turning off the lights at its headquarters in NY and at other sites around the world. More than 1000 cities around the world will participate in the event which will show support for action on climate change and for an agreement in Copenhagen this December.
