DRA's Stars of Tomorrow...Giving Back Today! TRAILER

$23,219 was raised for Dancers Responding to AIDS when over 250 dancers from the tri-state area came together on February 8th for the seventh Stars of Tomorrow...giving back today! dance student invitational held at Purchase Colleges Performing Arts Center. This year, participating students had the opportunity to take classes with Paul Taylor Dance Companys Michael Trusnovec and Broadways Stephanie Fittro through DRAs Master Class Series. Michael taught two wonderful classes that concentrated on movement specific to Paul Taylors technique. Accompanied by a live musician, the students had smiles on their face throughout both of his classes. Stephanie brought her Broadway energy to the classroom and the students had a blast performing The Prologue from West Side Story and Bend and Snap from Legally Blonde. All schools participating in the day committed to selling tickets based on how many dances they performed. The program included some new and returning schools to the event- Dance Innovations, Academy of Dance Arts, JAM Dance, New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, Central Moves, Newdance, The Pulse, Strut Your Stuff, Perichild Ensemble, East Coast Movement and Dance Centre of Westchester.
