Dr. Boyce Talks about Barry Bonds and Discovers a New National Holiday

In another episode of "Boiling Hot with Boyce Watkins", Dr. Watkins talks about Terrell Owens, Barry Bonds, Ron Artest, Latrell Sprewell, Jack Johnson, Michael Vick, OJ Simpson and Randy Moss. He then asks "Why is the most hated athlete in America always a black man?" He discusses how the NBA, Major League baseball and the American public play a role in the continuous disdain for the black male athlete. He also questions whether or not Barry Bonds' investigation was worth the resources used to fund it. Watkins was featured on a CBS sports special on the NCAA. The special also included Coach K from Duke University, Bill Packer, NCAA President Miles Brand, Clark Kellogg and Len Elmore. Watkins was the only person advocating for players to get paid, but every other person on the show was on the payroll of either CBS or the NCAA, all of whom stand to earn alot of money from college sports. Watkins argues that the sport is corrupt and that there should be a congressional investigation. Watkins was one of the people that helped Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton get Don Imus off the air after he referred to the Rutgers Women's basketball players as "Nappy Headed Hoes". Dr. Watkins has appeared on ESPN, CNN, BET, Fox News, CBS and other networks fighting for racial equality. He and Al Sharpton appeared on The Wendy Williams Experience in New York, and Watkins has also gotten into powerful feuds with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News (The O'Reilly Factor) and Sean Hannity of Hannity & Colmes. He has appeared with Michael Eric Dyson many times, The Rev. Jesse Jackson and other African-Americans fighting for equal rights for black people. Watkins was one of the first to bring the Jena 6 case to light in national media, and he also was the one who gave Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson the idea to attack Don Imus' corporate sponsors. It was ultimately Watkins' idea that took Imus off the air.
