Maria, still chafing at her demotion, witnesses a scene between her new superior, Lt. Esme Pascal, and her cheating fiancé. Debra finds it very difficult to recover from her ordeal with the Ice Truck killer. Angel takes up an Oprah-promoted philosophy. The hulking gangster, Chino, proves himself a worthy victim for Dexter.
