Daily antibiotics do not prevent recurrent urinary tract infections in children – but do increase risk of antibiotic infections

Pediatric experts recommend giving young children who get recurrent urinary tract infections, or UTI's, daily antibiotics in hopes of preventing another UTI. But a new study of kids age six and younger says this recommendation may need to change.
