An MP has called on Prince Charles to cancel a visit to Pakistan that will coincide with the planned execution of a British citizen. Mirza Tahir Hussain from Leeds was convicted of killing a taxi driver in Pakistan in 1988. He was later acquitted but then his case was referred to an islamic court and he was sentenced to death after a re-trial under sharia law. It prompted a long-running campaign to free him. His MP Greg Mulholland has written to Prince Charles and today also asked the Prime Minister for his view. Lib shots protesters / Tony Blair SOT in Commons
