CRIME: Insurance executive Alberto Izaga held over child beating

A high-flying businessman is in police custody today after a two-year-old girl was left fighting for her life with head injuries, police confirmed. The man was named in reports as Alberto Izaga, 36, a senior executive of insurance giant Swiss Re. Officers were called to a home in upmarket Albert Embankment, on the bank of the River Thames near the Houses of Parliament in central London at 8.30am yesterday.
