Bond star, Daniel Craig took time out from filming Quantum of Solace to attend the premiere of his new film, Flashbacks of a Fool.In the film, Craig plays Joe Scott, a washed-up film star whose hedonism takes its toll. It is a stark contrast to the glamourous world of James Bond.It is written and directed by Baillie Walsh and shows the middle-aged actor trying to come to terms with his troubled past as he revisits the seaside town where he grew up.Bond fans turned up in force in Leicester Square, central London, desperate to catch a glimpse of Craig.Craig said of the role: "Joe as an actor who was extremely successful for a while. You are meeting the character when he was on the downslide. He is at a stage when he could have had everything in his life but he has thrown it all away."Joe's younger self is played by Harry Eden whose previous roles include The Artful Dodger in Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist. The director said the film's soundtrack, which features tracks by Roxy Music and David Bowie, was largely the soundtrack to his own youth. The film also stars Claire Forlani, Keeley Hawes and Mark Strong.Strong said: "It's a film that we've been trying to get made for ages, and now Dan's world famous it really helped bring together the money."What we have now is a fantastic, beautiful British film."
