Conn. man killed after exiting car on Route 95

STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - A Bridgeport man was killed after exiting his car following a minor accident on Route 95 south. State police said 56-year-old Stephen Smith got out of his car Saturday after he was in an accident that caused his car to face the wrong way in a travel lane. Police said another car then slammed into Smith's disabled car head-on, pushing it into Smith and a passenger, who had also exited and was standing with Smith behind the car.
