Since the Archbishop of Canterbury voiced his comments regarding Sharia law, British society has been flooded with a rush of misrepresentative and subjective headlines and general media hysteria. It is truly ironic the same champions of human rights so quick to reprint the caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are the first to suppress the informed comments of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Entirely based on a superficial understanding of Sharia Law, the aggressive and hostile response playing on skewed misconceptions has achieved nothing but to fan the flames of hatred towards Muslims. The barrage of Islamaphobic rhetoric over the last week so abundant within our media over is offensive, Imperial College London Ahlulbayt society utterly condemns it.
