Competitors from all over the globe have been working up a sweat in the 9th annual Sauna World Championship.Held in Finland, 101 participants from 17 different countries were subjected to roasting temperatures which reached to around 110 C.The winner was the last person to leave the sauna without outside help.Woman's finalist Leila Kulin from Finland was able to defend her championship victory for the second year running after Natalia Trifanava from Belarus had to be escorted from the sauna after 10 minutes and 31 seconds.Meanwhile, the men's final was dominated by the locals with six Finnish men competing for the crown.Timo Kaukonen stayed in the heat for a lengthy 12 minutes and 26 seconds to take victory in the men's championships.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
