CNN Digital Beats Competitors During Second Presidential Debate, Citing Nielsen Numbers

Barack Obama and John McCain weren't the only ones battling it out during Tuesday's town hall-style debate: CNN Digital Network vied with msnbc.com and other major players for the most unique visitors. CNN came out on top, the company announced today, generating 8.3 million uniques and 67 million total minutes spent on the site. CNN based the numbers on Nielsen Online Custom Data P2+ Home/Work Usage During the Democratic National Convention, msnbc.com claimed victory over CNN and other networks with 5.6 million video streams; you can read my post about it here. Andy interviewed CNN.com news anchor Melissa Long earlier this year about the opportunities of the live webcast format, and I republished the interview above. --Kelsey Blodget, Associate Producer By BeetTV Tags : barack , cnn , debates , digital , john , jon , klein , mccain , msnbc , msnbc.com , obama , presidential
