Chinese Navy drill

Chinese warships heading towards Somalian coast have been conducting a series of drills on board to prepare for combat against pirates. The fleet - two destroyers and a supply ship - has around 800 crew members, including 70 special operations troops. The deployment marks a significant shift in operations for the Chinese Navy which is seen as an opportunity for Beijing to take a greater role in global security.
