Cheryl Cole's popularity shows no sign of fading after she acheived a rare double - by claiming top spot in both the album and singles charts. The Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge saw her debut solo album 3 Words hit the number one spot, while Fight For This Love held on to the top in the singles chart for the second week. Martin Talbot, of the Official Charts Company, said: "This is another fabulous achievement by Cheryl Cole - and 3 Words now looks set to be one of the biggest albums of this coming Christmas." Cole was congratulated by Simon Cowell at the start of The X Factor show last night. "Cheryl has got the number one single and the number one album. Seriously, I'd like to say on behalf of us at the show, this is an incredible thing you have done. Now can you come to my record label, please?" Cheryl has already had 20 singles in the top 20 with Girls Aloud and Fight For This Love is the fastest selling single of the year. The singles chart also saw new entries for Westlife, who went in at number two with What About Now, and Jay Sean whose single Down went straight to number three. This Is It, the soundtrack to the new film about Michael Jackson, was a new entry at number three in the album charts.
