Checking out a gorgeous winery in Nevada, & its not in Vegas or Reno, it’s Pahrump Baby, w/ Roni Taylor

Only about an hour south of Vegas in a little town widely known for its legalized prostitution are a few little gems that are a must on your sightseeing tour. The Pahrump Valley Winery is definitely one of them. With it’s cute little vineyard out front and it’s weeping willow tress everywhere, it gives you a feeling that you are not in the middle of the desert, but closer to Napa Valley. The owners have recently updated the place by adding a wine tasting area, shop, and a great five star restaurant, Symphony’s. I had a wonderful time visiting with the owners, Bill and Gretchen, a super friendly couple who make all of their guests feel right at home. We drank, and drank, and drank some more. I had a opportunity to go out into the vineyard and learn about the grapes and do a little grooming of the vines We then went back to the enormous barrel room where I got to do a little private wine tasting straight from the barrel, and then ahhhh dinner and desert. If ever in Vegas, you must take a little trip south to Pahrump and visit the winery…and if you must go to a brothel just to say you have, then be my guest, but don’t forget to pick up a bottle of wine from the winery.
