Cech's Life-Threatening Head Injury

Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt collides with Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech during the first minute of the match. Petr Cech is knocked out and taken off the field. It was later found out that Cech suffered a depressed skull fracture which he was lucky to still be alive from. Cech underwent surgery and was unable to play for 3 months. When he returned, he came back wearing the protective headgear he currently wears, which is padded in the areas where his skull was weakened from the collision.
