Caroline Kennedy Does First TV Interview

(NECN/WABC) - Caroline Kennedy says after a lifetime of closely guarded privacy, she feels compelled to answer the call to service issued by her father a generation ago. Kennedy sat down for her first formal interview on camera with NY1. She said the September 11 terrorist attacks and the election of Barack Obama as President helped shape her decision. Kennedy wants New York's Governor to appoint her to fill Hillary Clinton's Senate seat, when Mrs. Clinton becomes Secretary of State. WABC News reporter Bill Ritter has more on the interview.
