Can 50 Cent do a British accent?

50 Cent says he is a fan of UK gangster movies, but did not feel confident enough to do a British accent in his latest film. The rapper and actor, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, plays loan shark Mr Thigo in Dead Man Running. 50 said:"I would have had to have more time to pull that off." Director Alex De Rakoff initially wrote his character as a Brit gangster, but changed his mind once the hip-hop mogul came onboard. Curtis said: "Alex was able to explain what the character was like and how he would appear from an American perspective, having his business be big enough to stretch from America to London." The hip-hop mogul squeezed in this project whilst working on his fourth album Before I Self Destruct. He also found time to write, produce direct and star in his own movie which will be included with his forthcoming record.
