The UK's Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has launched an appeal to find the curlew, a crow-sized bird. The birds were once seen in their hundreds on wetlands around the mediterranean. But their numbers are dwindling, with many ornithologists fearing that the numbers are below 50 or that the curlew is extinct.
