BUSINESS: National Asset Register reveals Britain's worth

HM Treasury have published a report listing Britain's publicly-owned national assets. This follows criticism of Chancellor Gordon Brown from the Institute of Fiscal studies for the slow rate at which we are reducing our national debt. It is thought some of the forgotten properties, such as the Watford Gap service station, worth nearly three million pounds, could be sold off to create short-term income for the Government.
