Bush Attacked By Size 10 Shoes Thrown By Iraqi Journalist Muntadar Al-Zeidi - Widescreen Non-news Clip

Bush was welcomed by 2 Iraqi shoes thrown by the journalist Muntadar Al-Zeidi, which barely missed the Presidents head during a q&a press conference whilst on a surprise Iraq visit at Baghdad to farewell the troops before Obama takesover. During the incident on Sunday evening Mr Al-Zeidi, who was sitting in the third row, jumped up and shouted: "This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog." followed by him throwing his shoes one by one as seen in the video. As Mr Al-Zeidihe threw the second shoe he said: "This is for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq." The angry protester later expressed that he was angry and surprised seeing Bush had the guts to pay a surprise visit after all he has done and the continuation of American occupation. How did Bushy take it? He compared being hit by smelly warm shoes to facing a road rager, which makes it obvious that he did not understand the underlaying message behind the Iraqi shoe action. In Asian cultures, the shoes are considered the lowest object to be hit with, and it was clear that the desperate protester was sending more than shoes at Bush, but a message to tell him and the American soliders that they are not welcome for as long as they carry on occupying Iraq, and that people will demonstrate their respective protest by any means necessary, including using your shoes as a weapon.
