Britney announces first Australian tour

Britney Spears is set to tour Australia for the first time in her career. The singer announced she was extending her latest tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, in a statement on her website. Spears has scheduled six shows in November in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The 27-year-old said in a statement: "My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can't wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans." Her new album Circus went straight in at number one in six countries and made the top ten in seven more.
