The stars of the British independent film Franklyn have been treading the red carpet. Ryan Phillippe, Sam Riley and Eva Green attended the world premiere of the movie at the BFI London film festival. Phillippe said the film is very ambitious: "Oh it is, very, and also for the budget we had you would never know, the film looks amazing. Parts of it look like a film the size of like Batman, that sort of film. But it's small, independent, British, and it's really good. And I think Gerald McMorrow, the director, has got a great career ahead of him." The film is based on four characters in a futuristic London society where there is no separation between Church and State. But the stars weren't keeping to the script. Riley joked that he and his actress girlfriend Alexandra Maria Lara could star together in a new version of Bonnie and Clyde. The couple recently appeared in Ian Curtis biopic Control. Asked if he would like to do another film together, Riley said: "Yes, absolutely." He said he was "trying to talk Tarantino into doing Bonnie and Clyde. He's not answering my calls."
