Britain ranks at bottom of United Nations child welfare survey

The United Nations has published a league table in which it ranks more than 20 of the world's wealthiest nations on matters such as childrens' happiness, behaviour, poverty, and education. The Unicef report shows that children growing up in the United Kingdom suffer greater deprivation, worse relationships with their parents and are exposed to more risks from alcohol, drugs and unsafe sex than those in any other wealthy country in the world.
