Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway stepped out in style in the Big Apple for the premiere of their new flick Bride Wars. Wearing a black trouser suit, Hathaway told reporters "I'm the kind of girl that's not really interested in weddings. It's never really been my thing. And I'm still not." Despite her recent divorce from Chris Robinson, Hudson says she still fantasises about a second dream wedding. But beyond the bridal mania, Hudson says the humour is what drew to her to star in and produce the film. "I think Anne and I both felt like we could really make fun of ourselves. And make fun of the things that we do and we are and can be." she said. "Girls don't get opportunities to do that very often. We're always in the boy's movie. They get to make fun of themselves which I love too. But this was really a special time for both of us." In the film Liv (Hudson) and Emma (Hathaway) are wedding-crazed childhood best friends who have planned every wedding detail down to the place cards. But when a scheduling snafu causes a shift in dates - it's all-out war. Both leading ladies agree that the story of friendship really makes the film special. "I'm nothing without my girlfriends," says Hathaway. "They're the people that you can go to for anything and can lean on. And they can understand that they see every part of you, the good, the bad and the ugly and they want the best for you. And that's a true friend and I'm lucky I have a few of those."
